Curtis N. Crane, M.D. graduated magna cum laude with a degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, one of the nation’s most rigorous engineering programs. He co-oped at DePuy Orthopedics making hip implants and became very interested in medicine. He chose to continue his education at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Upon completion, he was accepted to the prestigious Dartmouth Hitchcock Urology program in Lebanon, New Hampshire, where he completed a six year residency.
Because of his interest in complicated urologic surgery, Dr. Crane pursued a fellowship in trauma and reconstructive urology at Detroit Receiving Hospital with the distinguished Dr. Richard Santucci. This was followed by a full three year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
